Indiana University South Bend New Student Orientation
There are two options on getting to know more about the campus and registering for classes.
In-Person Mini-Orientation and Class Registration
- Mini-orientation offering comprehensive information about various campus resources.
- Meet with an advisor and register for classes.
- Obtain your Crimson Card (IU student ID).
- Excellent opportunity to connect with peers, advisors, success coaches, and student support offices. Ask questions to Financial Aid and other offices. Optional campus tour to familiarize yourself with the campus.
- Separate session with information specifically for family and guests of our new students.
- Meet with an advisor individually and register for classes via Zoom.
- 1-hour appointment.
- Ideal for students who have previously attended college and have obtained 30 credit hours or more.
- For an optimal advising/registration experience, you should utilize a desktop, laptop, or tablet during the appointment so you can share your screen with the advisor.
- Once this form is submitted, you will receive email confirmation that we have received your reservation, along with additional details.
- The confirmation and all subsequent emails will be sent to the personal email you submitted on your application for Admission. If you don’t remember or need to change your email, contact Admissions at iusb.admissions@iu.edu or (574) 520-4839.
- It is recommended that you NOT utilize your high school email (e.g., "k12.in.us") extension, since your access to that email ends after graduating from high school.
- Go to the Orientation web page and complete steps 2 & 4.
- If you do not receive a reservation confirmation email or have questions, call (574) 520-5005 or email sbinfo@iu.edu
